Mission and Overview
The MWCCS is the largest observational study of the impact on HIV on health status in the United States. The study aims to enroll 5,500 participants who are HIV infected (70%) and a negative control group (30%). MWCCS is comprised of 13 metropolitan consortia, including Atlanta, Alabama/Mississippi, Baltimore, Chicago (Cook County/Northwestern), San Francisco/Bay Area, Los Angles (UCLA and USC), New York City (Bronx and Brooklyn), Miami, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Washington, DC. The Data Analysis and Coordinating Center (DACC) is located at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
